Dhaulagiri Base camp Trekking

Dhaulagiri  Base Camp Trekking is named Dhaulagiri 1st mountain, soars of 8167 m and is the seventh highest peak in the world, standing above the great kali Gandaki valley in central west of Nepal. This valley is the deepest on earth as it is flanked by two 8000 m mountains -Dhaulagir - 1 and Annapurna – 1.

This trek offers breathtaking views of Dhaulagiri massive south face as well as remote valley hidden away behind its bulk.

We head out through exquisite forests of pine, rhododendron and fir to emerge on the Kaphe Glacier, from where we climb up over French pass (5240 m). We decent into the wild and unrivaled valleys beyond where bharal (blue sheep) can sometimes still be seen in summer. The route then takes us over the Thapa Pass (5250 m), with exception views of the great Kali Gandaki gorge, before the steep decent into the valley and the return walk to Pokhara. Dahulagir Base Camp trekking  is a most challenging trek but our effort is well rewarded.
