Gokyo Lake Trekking

Gokyo Lake trekking or Gokyo Ri trekking has unbelievable scenery of the Gokyo Valley trekking, beautiful turquoise lakes, moonscape - like glaciers, and stunning mountain vistas that include Everest, Lhotse, Makalu, and Cho Oyu - four of the eight highest peaks on earth ! The 360-degree view from Gokyo Ridge is the best in Khumbu.  Side trip to Gokyo Ri trekking, 4th lake, 5th Lake, Ngozumba Glacier are the another high light of this trekking. Namche is considered the trading center for Khumbu region, and people walk from as far away as Tibet every Saturday to sell their wares at here. Yaks and people compete for space in this amphitheater style city. It is advice to spend at least two nights in Namache Bazar for the acclimatization. Snow, water fall, monasteries visit, different mammals, birds, rhododendron flowers, flora, fauna and etc made this trip a unique destination to visitors. Foreigner should take two entry permits such as National park permit and TIMS permit to enter in the region. Proper trekking equipments are always recommanded to protect from hypothermia. Area has low air presser that is why people can get altitude problem easily even though height are not as big as Kalapattar. While you are sleeping in above 4000 meters you better try to observe how your friends are acting.
